A fire risk assessment (FRA) is a documented review of a property’s fire hazards and control measures. It identifies risks, sets out actions to reduce them, and must be reviewed at least every 24 months. As an ongoing process of identifying, evaluating, controlling, and reviewing fire risks, the FRA is the required evidence for Visitor Ready.

For Visitor Ready, only a valid Gas Safety Certificate is accepted. This is a legal requirement for all landlords with gas installations and must be renewed annually by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Approved engineers can be found via the Gas Safe Register, and certificates can be obtained through the same service if needed.

The FHRS, developed by the Food Standards Agency in partnership with local councils, helps customers make informed choices about where to eat. In the UK, a food hygiene rating is mandatory. Visitor Ready requires a rating of 4 or 5. If an inspection is pending, you must wait until your rating has been issued before applying.
